Congratulations to Allison Era of Glendale, Arizona on being chosen to the 2011 Women’s Inline Hockey World Team who will be competing in FIRS Senior Women’s Inline Hockey World Championships July 01, 2011 to July 10, 2011 in Roccaraso, Italy. She was a member of Team USA in 2008, 2009, 2010, and took home the gold medal in 2009 and the bronze medal in 2010. She is currently sponsored by Castle Sports Club and Behind the Mask Hockey Shops, and currently skates for Phoenix Dragons/Team Excalibur, Phoenix AZ.

How did you become interested in skating? Went to watch a friend's hockey game with my dad and I fell in love with the sport and wanted to give it a try.
What is your favorite competition? World Championships, AAU Junior Olympics, and Narch
Who is your favorite skater and why? Angela Ruggiero - She is very accomplished on and off the ice and is a great player when it comes to both ice and inline hockey.

Most thrilling experience: Trying out for and making the 2008 USA Women's World Inline Hockey team at 15.
Most embarrassing experience: My first ice hockey game in the summer of 2000 (age 8) after only playing inline all my life. Wore my skate guards onto the ice, choked on my mouth-piece that had not been heat formed yet, and my breezers dropped to my knees on my first shift because I wasn't wearing suspenders.
